Service Description

During this service Dan will use listening tools with you to assess your body and then talk with you about his treatment as he is using various techniques, he has taken through continuing education, to treat your body from the inside out. This includes NRT and Visceral Manipulation along with many other therapy techniques. A bodywork session is an assessment and treatment session of the whole body, usually a non-muscular structure needs to be addressed: that could be the nervous system, vascular system, organs, connective tissue and bones. Dan has 14 years experience in working with the body and this session will focus in on neuromuscular techniques of trigger point and neural reset therapy (NRT) as well as Visceral Manipulation (VM). Trigger point therapy is pressure on key points that unlock muscle tension. NRT is the use of gentle movements to unlock trigger points to unlock muscles. VM evaluates and treats the dynamics of motion and suspension in relation to organs, membranes, fascia and ligaments. VM increases proprioceptive communication within the body, thereby revitalizing a person and relieving symptoms of pain, dysfunction, and poor posture. Other techniques that may also be uses in a Bodywork session are lymph drainage, total body balancing (joint movement and massage) and active assisted release of post isometric movements. This is gentle and different from a deep tissue massage, its meant to wake an area up with gentle force to being balance to the body.
